Part smart says the 1114 for the 075 not the same unit as the 1118. Not to say that it won't work. The 1118 is more of a small rectangle. The 1114 is used on the ts 510/051 and the 1118 is used on the 028/032/042/048/076

This is the first I've heard of any of these units. Do you have the entire part #?

JMester's number comes up with a few ebay sellers with p/n 1114 400 1004 ( guaranteed used ) donut shaped triggers like yours.  Kinda price at $65.   Might be an easier route vs, burning time/frustration trying to make the external trigger work under the flywheel, although it's is supposed to be an option...

Adam do you think the 1118 trigger unit would work I think it is mounted near the coil on an 028 may work for him may just have to change some wiring around. Not sure if there are differences in when I t would trigger to fire the secondary windings

There's an old  AS thread  about converting the donut shaped internal trigger to the small external type we've been talking about. States that the small trigger can be mounted under the fan wheel as per the original.  I've never done this so though...  guy on ebay has 5-6 good donut types that would be a sure thing
