201T crank
« on: November 26, 2014, 07:45:52 am »
Should there be any play in the main crankshaft bearings with the saw assembled? I don't think that there should be any play. I am talking about up and down play not side to side.

Does it matter that they are rollor bearings and not ball bearings. I think it needs some bearings

Certain older units used a needle bearing on the clutch side.  These will have a small amount of radial play at the bearing when checking the crank.  Some wont have a cage around the needles, so if you decide to pull the crank pay attention so you dont lose the bearing parts.
