We can order the M-Tronic 261 now. Seems the regular 261 will be dropped.

Not yet. We have some coming. The 441CMs I tried I did not like. May be good for a firewood cutter. The old logger in me wants limb speed, not blocking power.

It seems that at least here there will be no regular 261, only CM version when old stock is gone. Yesterday the regular 261 was flying out of the warehouse. We could only get 20.

I like the concept of Rev-boost, never ran on to see if it really works.

The 241 is what I am waiting for.

Got a dozen CMs this morning. Ordered regular ones but they are gone. Only CM from now on. Selling for the same price as regular were last week.

If I owned the shop I would have by now. The boss however doesn't allow that.

from what I can see my guess would be they are the same porting as the carb model and unless the bore of the CM is bigger than the carb there should be no more power than the carb model once ported , its just the CM will tune it for you instead of you having to tune the carb yourself

We have only 1 regular 261 left so we will soon see how well the CM works. Costs around $1000 for the diagnostic tools. I wonder how many are ready? We bought ours a year ago.

I have heard that when you gut the stratos out of the motor the CM will not give enough fuel to make the saw run , I would like to take a shot at that sometime
