460 Recoil Spring
« on: April 02, 2014, 03:59:27 pm »
So I'm replacing the elastostart handle on my 460, but having some trouble getting the coil spring back together. Anyone have any tips or tricks they have used before?  Thanks!

I should add that I have already tried patience and cursing to no avail yet. Working on the persistence now.

After you do a half dozen or so, you will be a expert on recoil springs.

Yep, this would be the first, hence the frustration.

Persistence wins! Guess taking a break from it for a minute to clear my head and going back to it worked. Thanks!

I had a busy day and damn it if that thing didn't fly apart the first 5 times when I just about had it. Got to thinking there must be a trick I was missing. One more thing done now though, and a bit wiser for next time. Sometimes I have to work on the patience vs persistence,  they don't always work hand in hand for me. :D
