I got it broke down last night and the piston is toast but the crank, bearlings and rod look fine. Looks like one I get the new piston and rings in I may have a good engine.

Well now it depends on what side of the piston is damaged .If it's scuffed on the intake side it ate too much dust .If it got burnt on the exhaust side it's either sucking air or somebody tried to lean it out like a model air plane engine with some misinformed information it would run better .

Most times if it's cooked on the exhaust side  it does irrepairable damage to the cylinder but not in all cases .

I can feel it a little on the exahust side but it doesn't look or feel bad. I am going to scotch brite pad it and try a pistin and rings and see what I have then. Thanks
