The last saw I did was a Stihl MS 460 and I used a after market cylinder but an OEM piston and rings.
I made sure on the cylinder that all the edges on the porting were smooth by using some fine sand paper so that It would not hang up a ring.
It turned out fine and I have done a bunch of cutting with it.
