Use an impact gun.   Easy peasy.   Take a good heavy glove on your left hand and hold the flywheel and use the impact in your right on the clutch and it will come off.    They make these tools for a reason.

In your title you mention flywheel.   So is it the flywheel or clutch your taking off.

The clutch. I'll have to find a 19mm 1/2" drive socket now.

I had a 660 that was used on a mill that no matter what I did, the clutch would not come loose. Heat, penetrating oil, 1/2 inch air wrench, the works. What finally got it loose was three burps anticlockwise on the gun to tighten it up and the with one burp clockwise it spun right off.

That nut may be on with red loctite?  If it is you will need to heat it to 350f for the loctite to loosen up.  Counterclockwise to remove flywheel nuts.  Reverse thread or clockwise to remove a clutch.  If you need a piston stop to lock the crank down, use a length of rope.  Clothesline will work as long as it will fit through the plug hole.

I used an adapter on the impact wrench and it came right off.

My picture is too big for this post. Does anything else have to come off or can I just pick out the seal? Can't tell if it is bad from just looking at it. The muffler is missing so I can't use a vacuum gauge.

The only other thing might be the cylinder head gasket. I don't have any torx drivers or gasket right now.

Not sure what to do next.

No hurry. I have another saw.

Yes at this point you can pull the seal out.   Just remember the seating depth for when you put the new one back in.

As long as it is a part I might as well change it out. It will take awhile to get parts.
