I acquired one just about like the bow I operated in the mid 60's on a Mac 250 cutting fence posts .It worked fine but if it was any faster or handier than the modern small saws we have today I can't say but I doubt it .

I'd about imagine you could take a three cuber and do just about as well on that sized stuff .If nothing else as a reference with a 3 cube and a 16 " bar you got maybe 11-12 pounds .An 80 cc McCulloch reed valve with a 24" bow bar maybe 25-30 .Which one do you think will tucker you out faster ?
