I have been in touch with them. They only have smaller ones for limbing and Christmas trees. I am looking for one I can cut firewood with.

I noticed in the pictures that they showed the bow bars with the small front.

If you're going to use one of those things make certain all the quards and the spike is in place because they will kick back if you mess up .They'll cut to beat the band but you have to be carefull with them .

When I was a kid, where I lived, all chainsaws had bows. There was a rack made up above the cab of the pulpwood trucks and you could see the saws up on the rack when the tag axle truck went by with a load of pulp wood setting cross ways.

The only chainsaw I was around early in the 50's, that wasn't a bow saw, was a 2 man McCulloch that the tree service guys were using to fell and buck a tree. The guy swinging on the rope had a hand saw. No bucket trucks.

I acquired one just about like the bow I operated in the mid 60's on a Mac 250 cutting fence posts .It worked fine but if it was any faster or handier than the modern small saws we have today I can't say but I doubt it .

I'd about imagine you could take a three cuber and do just about as well on that sized stuff .If nothing else as a reference with a 3 cube and a 16 " bar you got maybe 11-12 pounds .An 80 cc McCulloch reed valve with a 24" bow bar maybe 25-30 .Which one do you think will tucker you out faster ?
