I just had the same sort of problem with a ms660 clutch  no matter what I did, even a 1/2 inch air gun would not break it loose. Then I remembered something my father taught me. I set the gun to tighten the clutch ( yes I know it is reverse thread ). One or two burps then set it to remove the clutch and burp burp and it came right off. It has something to do with breaking the thread contact area down by tightening the fastener.
