Sold all of my HT 1 3 5 long ago when I got out of it. 50 a pop in 2010.
Dennis Cahoon from Calif told me HT 1 was best to use of series back in the day for a serious build.

The carb on the 088 is HT-12 so does that change up the carb kit needed?

Rk24HS Tillotson kits most of them.

The HT was built using the HS metering parts and pump parts, same carb kit applied.

HT-12 uses a different kit again. Dont recall using that on in the  1 3 5 7 thinking needles were different when I was doing them, one you mentioned. Just a WAG

It does list a 084 though too.  But not the carb 1 3 5 7 etc

OK,I see the difference now,the pump diaphragm from the newer kit is the "teflon" one like WJ kits have. So all parts interchange, just the newer HS kits have the teflon pump diaphragm for later methanol gas.

I remember now also the needle in the 1 3 5 7 was different too.    Why this kit offers 2.   Least from what I recall.

I buy all my kits with the ethanol resistant check valve side dias.

Although more costly my choice is always the Tsumura bars, much higher quality and harder steel(Very hard!),and the groove is tighter and more precise from new. The Stihl bar is my #2 choice for sure. I used to measure the groove of various brand new bars,Tsumura was always the tightest.
I still have a collection of early Ht1 to Ht4 carbs I don't need anymore, and 084 intake boots and auxiliary fuel pumps.

I would use the carb kit with the teflon pump diaphragm for U.S. fuels,on any Ht or HS carb.

Alot of people forget about the Sandvik bars from the 1980s. Excellent steel and the detachable noses were matched to the gauge of the bar rail groove in .050, .058 and .063.
Also the nose side plates were staggered where they meet at the bar rails allowing the chain to travel on a smooth unbroken path .
The Swedes knew what they were doing, then they took Windsor to court and bought them out.
