I just picked it up yesterday and man is it light!! It is the MS192..
OH NO!!!!! I hope it isn't contagious........ I still haven't heard back from the dealer on mine, all I know so far is that they had to order a rubber mount and a clip for something. I hope I hear something soon though.... It has been a little cooler the last few days and I would like to get busy working on the firewood!!!!
he dealer called and said that my saw was done, $11 in parts and labor cost me a total of $110.... They said they had to completely rip the carb apart it was gummed up... I dumped all my old fuel out added the still hp super and about 1 1/2 ounces of stabil and 2 gallon of fresh 93 octane. I will pick the saw up Saturday at the dealer... I hope to have the saw back with no problems...
It has been a while since I have been on... anyway I got my saw back and fired it up last week to find out it is doing the exact same thing it was doing before.... On top of that my brand new little saw that I bought is broken also, needless to say they both went back to the dealer! The little saw just wont run and there is gas running out of the muffler. And the big saw will run for a bit and shut off. I'm starting to think the big saw has a bad coil?? I have 5 tree tops sitting in my yard and no way to cut them up!!! Good grief!!!!
Yeah I heard them fire it up the day I went to pick it up, getting it started was only a small part of the problem... It just seems like it was pinging while running and then it slowly dies off and quits... That's why I was thinking it was the coil, when it starts to warm up it quits.... The new saw (192) I just don't know what to say, it wasn't cheap and I would think I could get more than 6-7 uses out of it..... I actually ripped the skin off my hand from pulling it so many times!!! Im about to get rid of all of them and go to tractor supply and buy a store brand husky....
I'm definitely the original owner! I'll take a look at their website also...
Talked to the dealer yesterday about my saws, he said he ordered a new carb for the 192..... Makes me wander after only using it a few times what could be wrong with it?? My big saw they said they haven't found out what is wrong with it yet... So I am just thinking I will have problems with both these saws as long as I have them.... Maybe I should send Stihl a nice email.... I dont know..
Well got the saws back again, the 192 is running better than when it was new... Must have had a junk carb on it... I have not run the big saw yet, he ran almost a tank of gas thru it cutting up pallets and didn't have any problems he said?? He did say he turned the idle up little bit...
