Judging by the negative replies, I wouldn't buy from him either, but none of the complaints were about his saws performance. Seems he also sells parts like rope and sprockets, along with being a slow shipper. It seems to me from his videos he must be doing a bit more than putting a long bar and higher tooth sprocket on his saws. His saws don't seem to be bogging, or losing many rpm's, in the cut of some pretty big wood for a MS170/180 class saw. Brad's saw video looked on par with that guys' and his was reportedly ported and mm'd. I know my 170 bogs terribly in 14" wood with the supplied bar and sprocket. Can't imagine how poorly it would do with a longer bar and higher tooth sprocket without extensive mods. Could be mistaken, but I can't see how simply changing a sprocket and replacing the bar with a longer one would help performance, especially in the cut.
You didn't win silver, you lost gold.
