It might not be a bad idea before you shut down the saw to give it a cool down run .Out of the cut rev it about 1/4 throttle for about 20 -30 seconds .This allows the fan air blast to cool down the coil .

What happens is the solid state components of the ignition systems can temporarily  fail under high heat conditions.I found this out on McCulloch saws with solid state ignitions .
