MS 241CM issue

Just a heads up, some 241's have an improperly aligned intake boot from the factory. This does not give a proper seal where the impulse tube slides into the boot. We are fixing under warranty. 2 so far.

Our mechanic was off to Stihl tech school this week. The day was mostly on M-tropics. Didn't get to hear all that was discussed when he returned. One other thing that can be an issue is that the flywheel can get dirty enough to cause the saw to run poorly. Only 1 saw so far but it would not read on the diagnostic until poles were cleaned on flywheel.

My personal 241 has 70 plus tanks on it now. The best small wood pulp saw I have ever owned. My 261 just sets on the shelf now.

Started to read some of the literature our tech brought back regarding the Stihl diagnostic tool. Seems it can be used to check for lean conditions on a tradition carb equipped saw. Will check into it more at work tomorrow.
