Anyone seeing or hearing of running issues with the 261CM in 80 plus temps with high humidity?

I've heard of m-tronic issues with them.  None that I read on had to do with heat etc.  Maybe it was and they didnt put 2 and 2 together?

What issues are you hearing about? We have a number of saws that test fine but will not idle down as they should. Replaced coils, carbs, solenoid so but no change.

Using and get running temp, set down idle and die, harder to restart idle and die, even harder to restart if you can restart. Sometimes never restart after couple trys.

Have you tried resetting them?

I'm just WAGing no clue here.

I know I would like to check out one of those NE type II 2 261 with regular carb though. ;)  Looks sweet and light as all get out.

Saws all test fine on computer. Gave one customer a new saw after third trip in for same issues. Changed seals, coil, carb, clutch, etc at techs recommendation. Works great in shop but problems resurface in the woods. 4 saws doing the same thing. I read over a year ago something about high humidity issues but can't find it anymore.

Shop tech started the saw today. Has not run in 4 days. Idles at 10,000 rpm.

Sounds to be an air leak or fuel restriction. Passed all the test, so air leak is out. Pinched fuel line or faulty filter?? wiring harness??

Every startup the saw acts differently. Sent it to Stihl to let them play with it. 4 more with similar issues in shop.
