ms 310 topend rebulit

hey guys new to the form looks like a great site need some help just got a ms310 used    put half a dozen cuts on it and it ran alittle fun so took it to the local shop to get get it tuned up and the piston and cylinder r shot should I replace the bearings and oil seals well doing the job i'm up in Canada not sure where to get parts any advice will be great thanks  ???

Put a 390 engine unit in it? The same one fits the 290, 310, and 390.

the carbs are the same on all those.

I don't know a good Canadian source but Ebay is full of after market engine units. They seem to hold up pretty well.

Suppose to be bolt in ready to go.

Click on stihl board and look down a few threads where someone used one on a 290 build to 390.
