Holmen tree,what was the polishing compound you used? That's why you need to use a clear coat or some type of paint that has a hardener in it. Because most paint will not hold up.

Mothers Mag Polish is awesome. You could polish a turd with it.

I just used Turtle Wax automotive rubbing compound, but yeah mag wheel aluminum cleaner maybe a little more aggressive to get the job done faster.

Did you use some kind of clear coat after you polished it, to seal the magnesium back up. I think I might work on one that is bare mag.
