I put a 025 in a MS250 body last summer and it turned out nice. The engine was a 1991 edition and had been rebuilt before. It had good compression and still does.

I would tell the owner what you told us. At 150lbs it should run pretty good. The $64 question is How Long will it be OK? I bet it'll last him a year anyway?

yes you are right .  hate to see a nice saw going down .  actually had two come in this week both ms250 other one looked like a drunk had worked on it. kill spring on wrong side of control bar fuel vent squeezed flat under air filter assembly . new kit in carburetor but needle arm so low it would do nothing but idle but I got it out and got paid

It's not very expensive to put a Chinese cylinder assembly in one

after pulling piston out damage was worse than I thought. bought farmer tec engine. once I cleaned flashing on aluminum around intake boot area and filed under muffler bolt slot so bolt head would fit in went pretty smooth. Runs pretty good. used hutzl bottom plastic  and engine from hutzl.
