stihl 041 Farmboss clutch shoes Question

i been working on this saw for about 4 days and after i got the parts it runs well.but i just found out that the clutch shoes don't have the fiber pad on them no more. and i was just wondering if that would hurt the saw if someone ruins it with out the fiber pads on them? i been looking the after market pads and then haven't got the fiber pads on them either.so any help would be totally great full and appreciated.

None of my saws have fiber pads on the clutch shoes. Not even my Stihl 031 which is probably about the same age as your saw.

Does the clutch work as it should?

yes it works good buti haven't tried in wood yet because i wanting on some more parts to make her compleate.but every saw i got don't have the fiber on them either.but i'll look in to some more clutch shoes incase i have to change them out in the future or something.

FWIW if I'm not mistaken the 031 uses the exact Stihl number of clutch shoe as the 041 which is 1113-162-0802 .How about that . ;)

oh i c i know i looked at a few that said they would interchange.but i don't knwo much about them yet but if i keep working on them i will that for sure.
