FWIW the plastic cage (Polymid) bearings are more expensive than the steel cage bearings and are normally considered more desirable for high speed service.

Also if you loose a plastic cage, the engine will lock up but there are a minimum of metal shavings up in the engine. If you loose a metal cage, the metal shavings have been going up through the engine for some time and you will consider the piston/rings gone and sometimes the cylinder too.
