My 661 Air filter mod

Really like how my 066 runs and sounds with them. Plus they are quick and easy to clean. So I figured might as well try it on the 661. Have the WJ-76 installed with a .68 fixed jet. Still waiting on the euro coil and correct carb grommet.

Finally got my euro coil and carb grommet got it together tonight. Should have some time to run and tune it tomorrow. Should be able to get it in some wood at work on Monday. Should be a good test as we are cutting some decent size timber.

Got it going today. It would not spark at first. Was beating my head on the wall trying to figure out why. Figure out the Ignition lead was not screwed all the way into the module. Coil is limited. Seems to run good. Will know more Monday after work.

I spent 8 hours yesterday trying different things with coils and carbs. I went back to mtronic with .050" off the key.

I ran 2 gallons of fuel threw it today. Seems to do well. Carries more rpm than a 660 in the cut. Are you running the m tronic carb and coil or just the coil. It makes me wonder how the euro carb would run with the euro coil. I do feel like to keep running the euro coil it is going to get dicked with some more. Wanted to run it for a week and get it broke in before I started to mess with. Based on what I have read they seem to like more timing.

Tillotson 320 or wj76 with the euro coil. I haven't been able to make a faster cut with the euro and normal carb. They will have too much timing if you go .050" off the key with the euro but not the 4701

I guess the .40 milled key that I got from redbull is not going to work on the euro coil. What do you think is a good number .20 to .30  for the euro coil on the 661.

On a side note are you milling them or just filing them. If you are milling some would you mill me a couple and different sizes.
