according to TI 44.2015 the crankshaft remains unchanged other than the 0407 comes with the new aluminum crankcase screws as they are not to be reused. but I do believe they did something to the crankshaft....ive seen a few big end failures in the old version ms261 m-tronic. the aluminum screws also come in a bearing kit and in the gasket kits for those saws as well.

I sourced a 2017 price file but i guess now i need to source all the service bulletins on this stuff as well.we see quite a fee big end failures on the 261 and 362's but the 261's have mainly been grooves worn into the crank from the clutch drum bearing and 95% of ours are standard saws not the M-tronic
