New Saws
« on: September 26, 2011, 07:12:20 pm »
Got two new Stihl saws in the shop today. One at each end of the scale. A MSA 160 battery saw with a 12" bar. The other a MS 880 with a 5 foot bar.

Like the 160 concept but the price is a killer. Saw, battery, charger and tax, $820. Throw the belt pack in and you blow $1000.

Need to move 8 saws this week to make 500 units in 5 months.

Its a toss up between the 170 and 250 most of the year. The month of January its the 290. We move around 125 of them alone that month.

I know a guy that has already gotten the stihl battery saw with 2 of the longer lasting batts.  Must be the wave of the future for trim saws, because husky has one now too and oregon.
