Dealer said everthing we get from now on will come from Germany. We were getting just German Arctic and big saws. Not any more.

No, I am in Canada, for some reason we get German again. Must be a $ issue. Maybe trying to justify why we pay more for saws.

So there is german made 361 260 and smaller stihls? I had thought all 361 and smaller were made in va beach.

Where are these new MS362 and MS261 being made at?

Yes 361/260/250 were also made outside the US. I only bought German models as they were stronger than US ones.

Your 362/261 is made in US, ours in Germany.

I would like to get the 241 here.

I'm from Canada too and last week when I went to the bank to buy some US money I got a little change back from buying it with my CDN money.
Have never seen that before.

Yes so would I, looks like a real nice little saw. Husqvarna only has the new T540 XP and 562XP to offer but nothing in between to replace the 346XP. The 241 would be a good fit in the lineup.

What is a 241? I have heard of the 341 up there being like a de-tuned 361.  True or not?

Yes the 341 was a lesser 361. Didn't go over well here. The MS 290 at $399 took sales from it.

The 241 is the newest in the 024 line. Great little saw.

I hear the new Stihl MS 241 CM [ M-tronic] is coming out with a fully computerized controlled carb and ignition system. Along with being strato charged this setup is supposed to be the latest technology.
The 441 CM will have this also.
