To get my clutch off my promac I took the spark plug off and put the piston at bottom centre then fed a clean rope in the bore to jam the piston, worked a treat

You can do that or leave the plug in and use a 3/8ths impact driver.   Just make sure to remember left hand thread for the clutch.
