These 261's have a pile of torque, and because they have carbs you can adjust
unlike the 550's you can feed them a crap load of fuel and make them cut.

I like the 261 stock, doubt it will take long to like this one. Already planning a to put a 044 or 066 carb on it over the winter.

Per Ed EHP   here is a woodsported 261 stihl running against a Husky 562. I have been asked, both chains are brandnew and NEVER been filed , the wood is cherry . The 261 beat the 562 by 10% so its running close to the 70cc saws like the 372 and the 261 is pretty much brandnew so its going to get faster yet . both running brandnew 3/8's LG chain, 261 cut a 4.39 sec, 562 cut a 4.97 sec

in red oak it = its running a new 3/8's LG chain and has pretty good torque , it out cut a stock 365xt 71cc bad and only .3 behind a muffler modded , transfer door cut and strato cut out on a 365 xt 71cc , its running pretty good  :o

I ran a ported 261 at the WCOhio gtg and i would really like to have one for my 50cc saw. It was an exceptional saw.
