I don't care for it either.

But my 66 yr old wife could start a easy start or adjust the chain with no problem.

I have a regular 025 and 026 as well as a 026 PRO and they are good enough for me.

Not all brands of easy start saws work like we are talking about. Not all Stihls nor other brands.

I have a Dolmar 5105 with a starter made a lot like the one on the Stihl MS250 Easy Start but it doesn't work the same way. It is hard to pull but if you can slowly get the piston to go past top dead center, the saw will start.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
That knowledge can live after us... and that "Pays It Forward".
