I've started many a model airplane engine with right hand nuts and they don't loosen unless the engine backfires (rare on a 2 stroke) or is hydro locked.

Daah, now I get it, in order to start the saw by the flywheel nut you would actually be turning it anti-clockwise and could loosen the nut!

Easy start was available for the 026, may still be. The easy start works best the slower you pull them. Pull hard and quick like a normal saw they will not hold up. We sell around 75 easy start units per year.

Equipment with E (like MS 291 C-BEQ) use easy start going by read above. The stihl  291 is the biggest 55.5cc that replaced the 290.  It is a option.  Then a 251. No pro grade listed.

I will honestly say I really don't like the ms250. I feel it's way too heavy for the power and the anti-vibe is less than good. HOWEVER, for the average homeowner they are a very good choice. and I really do like stihls easy2start system. it is extremely reliable if you keep the monkey's off of it and it's very smooth and easy. I had it on an ms180 and one of my friends went out and bought the ms250 for his granddad because if it. he's pushing 90 and loves that little saw. I did convert the ms250 to the 2 bar nuts. even though he only runs the saw maybe 10 hours max a year, he was finding the tooless system to be less than desirable. :)

or you can find your self a mcculloch 10-10E ;D
