Saving some info @joe_indi  shared with pics

MS 440 and MS460. Initial MS460 had crankshafts same as the 046. But some time in the early 2000s, (2003-05) the crankshafts were beefed and became slightly heavier. A technical information of 2002 did mention modification of the connecting rod to reduce wear.

Stihl's Product Information Guides (aka PIG) . The picture showing specs for the 044 and 046 are from the 1999-01 PIG and the one with specs of the MS440 and MS460 are from the 2004 PIG
