Okay I found this for an 041 which should be the same .It should open at 2.4-2.6 mm before top dead center or .094 to .102" .measured by a dial indicator through the spark plug hole .The gap on the points should be .35-.4 mm or .014-.016 ".measured at top dead center piston travel .I would guess that to be 26-27 degrees advance .The 041 drawing indicated a cam lobe like a 4 cycle cam shaft as opposed to a flat spot used by McCulloch .They both do the same thing depending on how the points are designed .
Due to the fact it's a lobe then setting the points gap closer should advance the timing .Open sooner .
