When did stihl start putting the high speed idle position on the saws?

Being this 028 super is new model to me and I thought something was wrong when I was  using it yesterday. Noticed it didnt have this feature or does it?

I just trotted out and checked it .Yes it does have a fast idle . It's a "farm boss " model whatever that is .

As far as filters they list one complete wire mesh filter and two sets of halves which could either be one half each of a mesh filter or one half each of a flocked filter .Good question ,good ole Stihl sometimes leaves a lot of info out of the discriptions .
I couldn't find the numbers on the one in the shed to confirm which it might be .

I did however determine why Tom said it didn't do so well .The danged thing has ramped safety semi chisel on it .When I get a chance I'll drop a chisel in that pot licker and see if that peps it up .

It was a 50 dollar special with a .325 when he got it .All I did was get it running and hang that goofy chain on it and I never really did much other than make a few cuts with it .Probabley the reason that chain was on it is maybe because that's all he had at the time .

One of those deals with 3-4 saws all torn down in boxes and play eenie meanie mighty  mo putting a couple together out of parts .Wasn't the first and most likely not the last . ;D
