OK I got the new oiler line installed in the tank to oiler.  But what is the trick to make it easier?
Trying to get it seated 360 from inside the tank was fun pushing it trough and around with flat blade screwdriver.

Had a new one yesterday. New to me anyways.  New oiler, new oil tank lines, new clutch,  new worm gear and spring.

Chain and bar wasnt getting any oil. Pull bar off check yep oiling.

Check and cleaned bar groove and oil holes. Checked and cleaned bar mount even though new oil coming out.  Modded oiler holes thinking they didnt line up just right on the after market forester bar. Added a extra oiler hole in bar on both sides.

I went through this about 4-5 different on off deals testing.

Any idea what I found to be the freaking problem as to why I wasnt getting oil to bar chain.   :D

On these the front bar stud just screws in?  Thinking this one is stripped and wondering as it pulls out over time.  Thinking red loctite?

Also came in for leaking bar oil underneath.   Line wasnt connected to the oiler anymore. Also noticed the bar chain was dry. Just figured this.
But the worm gear spring was broken off too.

Cleaned all the bar oil out tank and line and put on a new filter.  SOG the freaking fuel line was squirting at the tank.   So ended putting new line in it too.

IIRC there is an oversize (from Stihl don't remember PN) screw in stud.  Rear bar stud screws into crankcase.

Took the stud out. About half the plastic cut in threads are pulled.  Going to try the redneck fix first then the oversize if needed.

I have a pic of the oversize studs with part numbers in a thread here.  More then just this series listed  too.

I believe you have a stud threading into a plastic crankcase like a 019 I have with the same problem.
Only way to fix it is push a metric bolt the same size as the stud in through the oil tank.
Now if you can't find a press in metric bolt with a toothed shoulder to prevent turning. You just need to weld 4 thin short beads around the shoulder and sharpen them up with a die grinder.
Tightening up the bar nut will seat it nice.

She is snug as a bug for now. Now to see how it holds up to abuse by owner.  This saw gets wrung out.
