029 ipl
« on: July 04, 2012, 07:20:57 am »
does anyone have an ipl  or a downloadable link for the 029
Helped a friend today muck around with a powerhead I had given him
It would fire then jam
Pulled the clutch and there is a metal spring sticking up under the clutch dont know idf it belongs or where it goes
I aquired this powerhead as  gift for a favour done and I passed it along for the same reason it has a new top end rebuild
It also needs a carb rebuild as once we had the clutch off it would fire and run on fuel down the carb throat but not pick up from the tank
Any thoughts gratefully accepted

That spring thing is what drives the oil pump drive gear .It goes in a slot on the side of the clutch drum .
Seems they have a tendency to break off occassionally on the 029/039 .
