The typical occasional firewood cutter keeps getting his chain sharpened at the dealer but no one does the rakers. Eventually they consider the chain is getting old and the teeth are short and they accept that the chain's worn out and they buy a new chain. Never any clew about the rakers. They do not know that the chain actually cuts better with the short cutters as long as the rakers are set properly.

Yep I noticed that as well. Some guys cutting 20+ years and when I ask them about the rakers. I get what are rakers.

Part came in from CCC Dave and installed. Cleaned AF, tank vent etc etc. Carb tuned and ready to go IMO.

Noticed it has went to a E3 plug. Myself I think a gimmick.

I also noticed carbon tracking under the loose screw on cap part of spark plug. I tightened as good as I could. I told him I would change it if I was him and have plug on hand. But told him it was still working and he basically blew it off conversation.  No biggie to me. So what do you all think of those plugs?

They cost three prices and are nothing but a bunch of hipe.

He'll be back when it won't start. Probably blame you that you did something to it?

Back when I was little, dad worked for Oldsmobile dealer.  Always pulled a plug on customer car that was missing or not running right.  Often found gimmic plugs and just replaced them with the correct AC.  Fixed!

I guess the sad part is I only charge $3 for the new plugs and I install them.  I think they cost me $2.79 when broken down per plug plus shipping when I buy in bulk.  Would have to check my numbers, so not sure.

Got this ole stihl 034 with 036 topend back and 360 tank in today on trade.     Got it from Al back in 2011 on a trade too.

Thinking seals etc issues now.

Saving this info where Cale bloodontheice got me figured out on the crankcase. Early 034  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/stihl/stihl-034/msg5072/#msg5072

The cover you need is a 2 piece one
1125 021 1200
1125 021 1100

The metal plate is
1128 664 1002

Ah yes I remember it well .I got that thing from a tree service .They had ran the tar out of it with a bad air filter ,nothing left of it but the wires, flocking gone .I screwed up the cylinder with a flap wheel so 036 top, after market piston .
I only ran that thing about 15 minutes before the trade deal and often wondered what became of it .It doesn't surprise me after this time if it doesn't need seals .
