Hi Everyone,
just registered, my user name is Aussie, Im posting from NSW Australia I have an 034 AV and put a slighty bigger head on it to bring it up to 61cc from I think 55cc. I can get it to kick but it just wont idle. What are the standard carby settings which may be able to help me get this thing firing. Also is there a Stihl specification chart by model available anywhere in a download format as Im also wanting to do up and race an 070 in class sections along with the 034AV. I would be grateful for any information you could give me, Thanks

Welcome

Use 036  L 1 and H 1 from lightly seated.  Even 1.25 to start on the L side is ok to try before fine tuning.  http://slugaservice-com.3dcartstores.com/assets/html/S_specs.html

Also more stihl info saved here. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/stihl/stihl-info/

@Al Smith

Al said on the FB group should nickname this one Timex.

Al got it from a tree service. He rebuilt it with 036 topend.  I traded for it.  Fix some little things then sold it.  Took back in trade years later and did crankseals etc on it. Then sold it again.  Took care of it for many years for that guy. Well today it showed up again dropped from a tree with another new owner.

All fixed and running again.

Pics how it came in.

Stihl 034AV with 036 cylinder and 360 tank.

Well the Tilley got me.

Tillotson carb on the 034av will flood the saw out overnight setting with plug in. Guessing bad seat or needle.  Going to kit maybe or ;)

I think it says HK-43 on side.  Stihl 1119 007 1060  HK-43 DG-1HK and RK-33HK

Also what is a replacement carb if it won’t fix. Zama was next. Got one coming.

If I leave plug out over night it starts right up when put in. But leave in it floods setting. Just enough it seems. Not real bad but just enough.

Guessing fulcrum height going by old one sets even with the plastic carb floor.
Pulled apart before pressure testing.
