Where pray tell did that orange cap on the oil tank come from ? Toss a set of rings in it , probabley good to go .

Just searching specs.

036 / MS 360    1991 - 2003    4.6 PS    61.5 cc    5.7 kg  pho

MS 361    2003 - ?    4.6 PS    59.0 cc        5.6 kg pho

MS 362    ? -  now    (4.6 bhp)    59.0 cc   5.9 kg pho

What is the normal psi on these stock. I just found 20 more psi  ;D   you want to guess where   8)

I have all three of these- the real weight as 036 12.25lbs, 361 12 lb 10 oz, 362 13lbs 3oz. I do think the 362 is a little stronger, the 361 and 362 are smoother, but the 036 just feels good in the hands.

Yep Leaking de-comp.

Cool thanks for info. I owned  a 361 with MM and really liked it. Dont ever see owning a 362 with that kind of weight and cost though.  :o

Kevin I use a 044 clutch drum on the 036. That gives you a larger bearing. Just twist the oil pump drive up a bit to get it to engage in the 044 drum. It works very well.

I was wondering why stihl would use the tiny drum bearing on a 036. Same bearing used on the little 35cc-42cc green plastic poulans.

They have an upgrade for the 036. This issue was addressed on the ms360.....but the 044 drum is something most guys have in a box under the bench. :)
