Stihl 056 Magnum II

What is a low hour 056 worth? A young guy brought one in to sell. New 36" bar and chain. Saw is in great shape. First one I have seen. Anyone have experience with these saws?

It is over 30 years old, not worth a whole lot except for parts. I would offer $200, $250 tops. A local cl ad has an 051 for $550, he is going to be sitting on that one for a while. :D

Sold mine a few years ago. Not fun to cut wood for long periods compared to saws with modern antivibe...

Sounds about right as far as price.  Hard to find big old muscle saws....

If someone were to offer $200-$400 on low hour Mag II, I'd laugh at them.  Then again, everyone wants one for little to nothing, but if it were their saw to sell they would want what you got ;)
