Fixing for a customer. Oem cylinder looks good has only a minor gouge near intake port. However rings go corroded tight to piston so no compression. Anyone have a suggestion as to a good aftermarket piston that will cooperate with oem cylinder?
chainsaws are chainsaws but stihl runs through my veins

Tried soaking the piston to see if you can free the rings? Maybe the piston and rings are both ok. Sometimes they'll get stuck from sitting a long time.

Sea foam works well to free up stuck rings. http://seafoamsales.com/sea-foam-spray/
