Stihl 044 Oil in Cyl

I have a 044 Stihl was given to me, Trying to start it had excessive compression. After inspection saw I found the Cyl full of bar oil, crankcase full of bar oil, I mean a lot, you drain it out and it pours back in, even the muffler was full. Removed oil pump did not see any oil behind pump. Can anyone help me, I want to cut some small trees down for a disabled neighbor

It is leaking between the crankcase and the oil tank. You will have to split the case and replace the gasket. May as well do bearings and seals while you are at it?

Have had a few saws do that too. Split to fix.
