Found this latest MS500i video by Skog Forum. Very nice video.
It shows the results after cutting spruce for 20 straight tanks , which is normally three straight 7 hour logging days.
Normally a logger would blow out the air filter after a 7 hour day to prevent overloading with dust and working its way through into the intake as the video shows.

Here's a pic of the saw that had fuel injection 70 years ago in 1949.
Semi diesel , could be dunked in a barrel of water and can still be started, with no carb runs in any position . Only weighed 18 1/2 lbs .

Jonsereds from Sweden was later contracted by Rasmus Wiig to make parts for the Comet Model A.

Jonsereds eventually bought out Wiig and with a redesign started selling the Comet Model A as their first chainsaw in 1954. They crossed out Comet with a X and called their first 1954 chainsaw the  Jonsereds Model XA.
When they celebrated their first 30th anniversary in 1984, they made no mention their first chainsaw originally came from neighboring Norway. Here's some pics.

I really like the concept of fuel injection. Its just a shame more models are not available.
The 500i is way too large for my needs.
My largest saw is a MS260 with a 15'' bar
I expect that within the next 3 or 4 years we can expect more models with EFI.
If a saw similar in size to my 260 became available I would most likely consider buying one.

It also makes me wonder how long it will be before a redneck saw is made at home using the 500i system.
Maybe there is already an aftermarket EFI kit available
Speculate to accumilate
