Well got the saw together. Got it on the diagnostic software looked for the icon to replace control module not there to be found. As it states in the service manual. Went ahead and installed the control unit for heated handles ran it through calibration and all works as it should. Guess they dont come blank after all. Emailed some pictures to Kevin guess he will post at some point

17 pics total.  So 10 in first one here. Pics are out of order

1st pic- good pic of wiring for rear heating element, you have to pay attention on which wire comes from.

2nd pic - showing new main on/off  switch installed. Ring terminal goes to the heated on/off switch.

3rd - replacing main saw on/off switch

4th rear heating element. Like that it is not a stick on like the 460/660 style rear element.

5th final connections on the control unit

6,7,8 are wiring and main switch installation.

9th wire routing from the wrap handle

10th rear heating element wiring connection.

1st heated handle switch installed. Had to modify the original cover that comes with the saw. Adds a little protection but mainly helps to seal the area. Have the correct cover on order. Hopefully have it some time this month.

2nd 3rd  shows removing cover to expose heated switch mounting hole in the tank housing.

4th shows the rear heating element wiring tucked into the molded taps in the rear handle. I would say a better improvement over how the 660 are. 660 wires just seem to float around

The rest are more of the switch wiring and wire routing.

Also the heated switch is opposite from a 660. Up is off and down is on in the 500. The 660 is up on and down off.

Someone in FB group wanted to know if you can take 362 heated to put on a 400. Since he thinks their isnt heated handle 400 out yet.

I am not real familiar with either one of those saws. Based on some part number searches looks like they both share alot of parts. Flywheel, wiring harness, wrap handle. At least on the non heated. i would guess it would work. Would need to make sure the 400 has the threaded bosses to attach the generator under the flywheel.
