Stihl MS251.  Looking through the carb adjustment cover holes. I think I am seeing metal stops? Just wondering when I start on it and want to adjust carb. Dont seem to be any L adjustment left to turn from factory setting.

He should use the right limiter cap puller to do this. First line up the cap so that the notch of the cap points vertically upwards. Use puller 5910 890 4502 to pull the cap. Screw the puller 5 turns counterclockwise in the cap and pull it out. Don`t screw it deeper to not damage the 2mm hex adjusting screw of the carburetor.

Thanks for info.  On my 150T I just drilled the stop out of the metal one.

Ended up leaving this one alone after testing and cutting with my e-free mix.  All was right again.

Water in his mix and loose plug main issues. Throttle how I liked it on transition in end, instead of a face plant.

Was told it is easier to just drill the black limiter tabs like I did on the 150T carb for this 251.

Just saving info and pics of another guys carb where he pulled the metal covers to show the black limiters you drill out.

Just saving different ideas.

M3 left hand thread screw, that's what I use as a puller.

Bet you can guess what is about to happen to this 251. I got permission to make her right.

stihl ms251 in for hard start and falling on face at throttle

Quick easy way to get rid of those pesky stops.

251 choke wasnt closing and flooded.  Love their easy start system compared to the spring assist others use.
