Stihl HD air filters
« on: March 13, 2013, 08:13:29 pm »
Do you guys wash out your filters or just replace them ? I have been using a degreaser ( the cleaner from the k+n filter kits). With some good results. The new hd 2 filters are a bit salty. Just wanted to see what some of you guys are doing.

Back when I was logging, I would blow them out every evening, wash them every second.

Try the black hd2 stihl filter and use a pre filter on top of that. Works way better than the normal HD for us...

I was thinking of running the pre filter on the hd-2. Thought there might be to much restriction. i will give it a try.
