I have owned both the 200 and the 201. It is my thoughts that Stihl should be responsible enough to offer this upgrade for free--Factory defect) !!
Greatest problem with these saws is the Communist build carburetor. Zama is also on many other Stihls as well as other brands.
It is my personal opinion that as with virtually every China product, it is the inferior quality of manufacturing materials not the design or workmanship

Stihl is a majority share holder in Zama
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
That knowledge can live after us... and that "Pays It Forward".

Just checked with my local dealer, He claimed to know nothing about enhancement pack??
He said the 1802 number was changed to 1800  LOL
He quoted me a price of $229.00 for the 1800 ?
I told him Stihl should be installing them for free, like some of the auto companies with factory defects.
I have a friend that has a 201 with bad coil--He is quite upset and said he bought it new and its out of warranty and they wouldn't fix his defect.
What happened to the "defects in material and workmanship" in their warranty?

I  contacted two different local dealers and neither knew nothing about Enhancement Pack. One dealer was very helpful and advised me to contact Stihl Corporation.
I called Stihl and talked to a gentleman in teck. He knew nothing about the Pack at the cost of $50.00, said the coil alone cost over $100.00! He verified that the Pack consisted of module, flywheel and carburetor and that there were two different Kits. He also told me that new kit advanced the ignition timing and carburetor was changed to increase fuel delivery.
He also knew nothing about the flyer shown on this topic, and asked me to send him the photo.
I tried and he later contacted me and said photo wouldn't load, so I sent him a link to this page.
He promised to contact me first of next week.
Has anyone actually bought the Enhancement Pack for around $50? If so, where did you buy it?

You did read the flyer right and couple post down pointing out the land of Oz?
You did notice some words spelled different?  Notice bottom right on their ordering info? It is a Australia flyer when it first came out offering it to them for that price.

The $50 is in Australia.
Seems to be around $120 here in the states.
