The "Easy Start" on the Stihl 250C that cut4fun had at his house this afternoon was unbelievably easy to pull. Not being accustomed to it and owning a regular 025, I pulled the cord all the way out and let the handle go back into the starter. Then the engine turned over and started as the Stihl 250C was stihl warm from being run earlier. I shut it off and restarted it several times this way.

There is no compression release or Elastostart on this one for it is not needed.

It would take a mighty stout woman to start my regular 025 for it has very strong compression and no compression release. If it is cold, I have to start it on the ground.

I have a Dolmar 5105 that is supposed to be "Easy Start" and it has a wrap spring between the starter pulley and the crankshaft but it doesn't work as easy as the one on the /Stihl 250 that I used today.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
