I did some playing around with my 250 and I advanced the timing and boy does it rev fast, I was pretty surprised. I think it may be to much for it feels like it builds a lot of heat. I use both Bosch and ngk plugs. I have had good luck with both.

I ran both too. Till one year 2 like new NGK gave me problems. Strictly Bosch now for me.

For me it is easier to get Bosch plugs, most of the time I have to order the ngk. What type of plugs do you run the wr6f?

1. I'm not a fan of how the homeowner series are built.
 
2. stihl's are for selling with it's strong following.    ;)

That's fair enough. It is a shame they won't make some small pro saws. A 261 is a little to big to use as every day climbing saw.
