Stihl TS350 Super Concrete Cutter Choke Problem
« on: August 09, 2017, 08:41:49 am »
Hi there

I have a Stihl TS350 Super that I am doing up ( yes I know it is very, very old but looked after ) , the problem is I got this in bits , the guy was going to fit a new piston etc to it but bottled out on it , so now I have it to do for him , have nearly got it finished, but I seem to have come across a problem ! , when I fit the top shroud the throttle works ok , but the choke is not opening and closing , because there does not seem to be anything that connects to it from the choke lever , there is a U shaped spring on the underside of the shroud and there is a round shaft coming off the carb choke , but when I operate the lever the U shaped spring does not connect to the Choke , am I missing something here .
will try to post some pics .

cheers
Spike

Maybe you will find something that helps in the IPL https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/media/pdfs/stihl/ts350-ts360-disc-cutter-spares.pdf

Hi Cut4fun  , thanks for your reply , I have got that parts manual and it does not show anything that connects to the choke linkage on the carb , it seems strange , because the cover is meant to come of and replace it without having to link anything , I could do with a picture of a TS350 Super with the air filter off so I could see how the choke is been operated .
thanks again for reply .

Spike

@blsnelling  Think Brad knows these since he messes with the older stuff.

Hi Thanks for your reply , these parts I have if you look at the second picture I posted of the shroud/cowling you will see it fixed to that , I need to know how does that move the choke lever on the carb .
