On a working saw used 8 hrs/day, you don't ant it very loud.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
That knowledge can live after us... and that "Pays It Forward".

Personally, I wouldnt run any saw without a MM

Run it how you what to. It will be louder, but it's going to run better. I have some saws that I use daily that are mm and some that are not. It is up to you.

I don't normally run a saw more than a couple tanks so loud, within reason, doesn't bother me.

When I am out cutting I always wear some kind of ear protection against loud noise, so if the saw is muffler modded it does not really bother me.
