Well, finally got the carb yesterday and put it on and the saw ran a lot better. It still smokes badly, though. I need to dial in the carb, me thinks. I'll turn the H & L screws per the shop manual's recommendation. It's been really cold here though (Northern Illinois) and should warm up to 50 this weekend. Will try to dial it in this weekend. If the smoke doesn't clear, it's time to split the cases. The chain oiler does leak out the bottom of the saw, but that may just be a seal. Didn't want to fix the chain oiler leak until I was sure the saw was running correctly. Thanks for all the replies. Sure made this a lot easier.
